Flipside Circus was lucky enough to be a recent recipient of a grant to the value of $31 000 from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is Queensland’s largest one-off grants program, distributing around $53 million per year.
Flipside Circus will be spending the grant on new circus equipment. Over the next 6 -12 months we will be purchasing key items that will enhance our programs in the training centre and also enable us to visit other locations with a travelling equipment “kit”. This will enable us to share the joy of circus with people all over the state.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund returns a portion of state revenue raised through gambling taxes to various not-for-profit community groups throughout Queensland. Not-for-profit community groups are eligible to apply for funding from $500 – $35 000 (including GST).
