Chair

Jon Sullivan

Jon Sullivan has been a Member of both the Queensland and Federal Parliaments. He has a background in the airline and travel industry, and for eight years was the Site and Operations Manager for the Queensland Folk Federation and the Woodford Folk Festival. Currently semi-retired, Jon is a director of Shivaree Entertainment Pty Ltd, a management, promotion and production company.

Deputy Chair

Annie Peterson

Annie has directed many major theatre and multi-genre arts events. Most notably:
  • Woodford Folk Festival as Programme Director (1996/2003)
  • Flipside Circus as Director (2005/2007)
  • Women in Voice as Producer (1992/present)
As a musician, Annie has worked extensively in Brisbane, most notably with:
  • Powderfinger as a recording and touring backing vocalist (1999/2010)
  • As an ARIA judge (2000/2003)
Annie is currently the founder/director of an early childhood music school, Rhapsodaisy (2010/present).

Treasurer

Clare Petrie

Clare Petrie is a chartered accountant who has more than 10 years of experience working in professional practice, including working for a Big 4 firm. Clare is currently a Director with Johnston Rorke’s Tax Consulting Division.

Her experience includes working with a wide variety of industries and client profiles, from small business to listed entities, and she has been involved in projects such as litigation against the Australian Tax Office, multinational taxation structuring and not-for-profits.

Clare has worked as a lecturer for the Institute of Chartered Accountants, CA Program and assisted with marking examinations for candidates undertaking their professional studies. She has a current interest in working to increase philanthropy in Queensland, working with various individuals to assist in the establishment of private ancillary funds during their lifetime, rather than as part of their estate.

General Member

Sean Mee

Based in Brisbane, Sean has worked as an actor, director, teacher, manager, advocate and producer.

Sean began his professional career in 1976 at La Boite Theatre as an actor in theatre-in-education, and was the Artistic Director and CEO of La Boite Theatre Company from 2000 to 2008. He has been lecturing in Performance Studies at QUT since 2009.

Background:

  • 1976-1980: Teacher/Actor, Early Childhood Drama Project, La Boite Theatre Company
  • 1981-1985: Member of the Acting Ensemble of TN! Theatre Company
  • 1985-1990: Freelance as an actor and director in various places
  • 1990-1998: Associate Lecturer in Acting and Direction, QUT Academy of the Arts
  • 2000-2008: Artistic Director/CEO of La Boite Theatre Company
  • Sean has won numerous awards for acting and direction, and was honoured with the QUT Outstanding Alumni Award for Creative Industries in 2008

General Member

Caroline Wilson-Barnao 

Caroline’s public relations and marketing career spans more than 10 years, during which time she has worked in PR consultancies, the arts and the not-for-profit sector.

With a Masters of Public Relations and a Bachelor of Creative Arts, majoring in Drama, Caroline has a strong interest in arts public relations and marketing and is currently completing a Doctorate on the topic at the University of Queensland.

Caroline has held senior management roles at RSPCA, Australian Red Cross and Brisbane Powerhouse and has worked in consultancy environments where she has overseen public relations activity for clients such as SIDS and Kids, United Star Supermarkets, Terry White Chemists, Starlight Children’s Foundation and BreastScreen Queensland.

Caroline currently lectures and tutors in public relations at QUT and runs her own consultancy. She is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and has won awards acknowledging the quality of her work.

She is the mother of two young children; the eldest of which attends Flipside Circus.

Robert Budd

Robert is currently the Strategy and Architecture Leader at SPARQ Solutions www.sparqsolutions.com.au. Robert has vast International experience in Business Strategy, Governance, Financial Management, Program Management, and General Management with some of the world’s leading multi-national Fortune 500 companies.
