 Kristy Seymour: Artistic Director

Kristy began her training as a young classically trained ballerina…ten years of that was enough for her so she decided to break free of the Ballerina mould and went off to University to study theatre. There, Kristy fell in love with physical theatre where she trained under Gavin Robins of Legs on the Wall.  Its was then after a few holiday classes with Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus that she decided circus was EXACTLY what she wanted to do with her life. Kristy then stumbled across Rodleigh Stevens, Master Aerial trainer and became one of his first students at Trix Circus on the Gold Coast in 2001. After training with Rodleigh in Static Trapeze, lyra and flying trapeze,  Kristy then became a trainer with him at his school workshops and went on to start working for Flipside Circus as Head Trainer in 2005. Kristy have been a member of the ACAPTA committee as Youth Circus rep for the past 3 years and some of her performance highlights include:
•    ACAPTA Circus Conference GALA at the Adelaide Fringe Festival- Umbrella Revolution- 2008
•    Static Trapeze for short film “Displaced” filmed at the Brisbane Powerhouse 2002

Krisy says ‘I LOVE teaching young people about circus and I also enjoy break dancing and can be found spinning on my head in my spare time.’
