This is a 2 hour class for 18 + years who are interested in learning new skills, meeting new people, gaining flexibility, strength and want to have a good time doing it. Have you ever wanted to juggle, climb a trapeze, ride the group bike, walk a tight wire and gain core and upper body strength? This class is for you!
Aged 5 - 6. We call this the Rosellas class! It follows on from the absolute beginner Wednesday Wrigglers 3.30 - 4.30pm class providing beginners who have already attended 1-2 terms with Flipside a little more skill development. Participants learn new skills and also work on improving existing skills, while concentrating primarily on circus being a fun activity.
Our Flipper Roo's are aged 5 - 9 and are a performance opportunity class. Come and learn basic circus skills such as lyra, tissu, static trapeze, juggling, hoops, and tumbling. Begin to develop the skills you need to be part of a performance. This class offers our kindy kids a chance to explore circus skills in class and then use them to create performance.
Aged 4 - 5. This class is for absolute beginners. We affectionately call them the Wrigglers. This class aims to open the particpants up to many different circus skills whilst concentrating on the primary objective of having FUN!
An interactive way for kids to develop stength, flexibility and co-ordination as well as improving their motor skills.
For the first time, Flipside is developing a circus troupe for our Samford community to attend. This class will maintain a strong skill development but will have a focus towards developing solo and group acts and teaching performance skills. This is a performance opportunity class offering students the chance to develop skills for performances in the local community. You must have completed one term in the beginners class to participate in the program.
The Beginner Classes act as an entry level to the Recreational Program for young people over the age of 6. They are a fun introduction to a variety of new circus skills, and for many, their first experience with aerials. The classes includes games, warm ups, stretching, strength, and fun group activities. Come along and learn all the skills of the circus including tissu, static trapeze, lyra, juggling, hoops, acro balance and tumbling.
Intermediate Classes teach circus skills at a more advanced level, allowing students to try out all Flipside has to offer and focus on specialist areas. Classes are fun, friendly and led by professional circus artists. These classes are for those wanting to further develop their circus skills, general strength and flexiblity. Come and learn all the skills of the circus including tissu, static trapeze, lyra, juggling, hoops, acrobatics, mini tramp, tight wire, trampoline and tumbling.
This class is designed for our students that have moved through beginners and general classes and are now ready for more advanced training. In advanced classes we focus on training skills, strength and body control. This class will suit those who are ready to push their skills and are not interested in performing. This class is skill focused only and will have a strong aerial component in class. You will need to be approved by a Flipside trainer to participate in this class.

Circus Jam is an open learning class where the trainers assist you in the skills of your interest in a fun and inviting way. The class allows students to warm up and play circus games as a ground then move to areas in which they are interested in focusing. This class is for those who want to enjoy a fun weekend activity with out the commitment. If the student becomes more interested in circus as a focus activity we would recommend joining the beginners after school program
